A fast-growing, deciduous shrub known for vibrant yellow flowers that appear in early spring before the leaves emerge.

–  Size depends on variety. Some cultivars grow to 8 – 10 feet tall and wide.

–  Need thorough watering when newly planted to establish a strong root system. Once established, they are relatively drought-tolerant and only require watering during prolonged dry spells.
–  Upright, arching habit. Width increases gradually as plants sucker. Arching branches may tip root.
