Helenium autumnale

Especially beneficial to native bees. (The name comes from the early practice of making snuff from leaves and flowers.)

–  2 to 5 feet tall and 1 to 2 feet wide
–  Full sun to part shade
–  Blooms late summer to early fall
–  Prefers moist soil
–  Upright, clump forming. Divide crown every 3 years.
