Iris germanicus
Known for sword-shaped leaves and showy, multi-petaled flowers, bearded iris is a hybrid of ancient natural origin that arose in the Balkan region. There are now thousands of cultivars in virtually every color and color combination and a variety of heights. This variety is tall with purple flowers.

– Well-drained soil to avoid rhizome rot
– Rhizomes spread horizontally, creating new shoots and flowers from the outer edges of the clump. Divide every 3-5 years to maintain vigor.
