Miscanthus sinensis ‘varigatus’

Known for gracefully arching, fine-textured leaves and feathery plumes that emerge in late summer and fall. The plumes are initially pinkish or silver-toned, and can be used for drying.

–  5 to 8 feet tall and 3 to 5 feet wide
–  Prefers full sun
–  Blooms late summer to early fall. Plumes provide winter interest.
–  Once established, they are moderately drought-tolerant. Regular watering is needed during their first growing season to establish a strong root system.
